This album begins with a statement. “Beauty is Imperfection”, which is also a vague spoil of the album’s sound; and a quote by Marilyn Monroe. The endorsement of all beauty and the undermining of the idealism of perfection that this title (and Marilyn) suggests is a hope for us, also melancholic creatures. So we were mostly intrigued to listen to it carefully.
“Sons of Melancholia’s” debut comprises mostly of sequences, pads and abstract techno bleeps with lots of delays. It has a tensed and blue feel throughout its content, a content which is sometimes written with deep melodic layers, yet, some others with dark and chilled monotones. The seeds are planted again on a barren land, more likely a waste land.

The overall style of this release is very unique for these days and the fact of existing some great melodies inside, obligates us to suggest to focus on "Focus Bag", "Stratoz", "Triangulum", "Liquid Revolution", "No Static At All", "There She Is" and "Soulmates".
