Mlada Fronta - Fe₂O₃

A double cd, 29 tracks and 2 and half hours from the industrial front of "idm" (or the other way around) is a little daring task to write about. Thankfully we don't give so much credit to our texts. Mlada Fronta's "Fe2O3" is about minimal evolving soundscapes and melodies accompanied usually with rhythmic noise and great industrial dance mechanics. But when we dealing with Mlada Fronta and especially in this album we know that we don't have a demonstration of rhythm beat mechanics nor a praise to the "means" of his field. This artist puts a great effort into arranging his sounds and synthesis to unveil certain feelings and purposes on each track.

Therefore we have tracks that begin ambient and evolve powerful. Others start the other way around to close with strong melodies and sequences. In "Fe2O3" the first disc maintains a rather mild feel, while in the second one there is a transition to more rhythmic noise, industrialized dance elements and break beats.

Μια μεγάλη κυλιόμενη για ένα τεράστιο κτίριο μιας εταιρείας υψηλού κύρους. Πόση ώρα να ανέβαινες; Ένα κομμάτι, ίσως και δυο. Ναι ήταν μια πολύ μεγάλη κυλιόμενη, όση και η ανέχεια σου. Το περιβάλλον σε παρακαλούσε να φορέσεις τα καλά σου. Τα καθρέφτινα τζάμια γύρω σου σίγουρα στο υπενθύμιζαν. Δε θες πολύ για να αρχίσεις να σκέφτεσαι και ένα αισιόδοξο μέλλον εδώ πέρα. Μπορεί να μην σου απέπνεε σιγουριά αλλά ασφάλεια, με τις δεκάδες κάμερες και τους security,... σίγουρα. Γυαλιστερά χαμόγελα στην υπογραφή και έτοιμη η πρόσληψη. Στη συνέντευξη είχες δώσει μάχη για να αποδείξεις πως είσαι ελέφαντας και γνωρίζεις τα πάντα για το αντικείμενο που ζητάνε. Ξεκινάς λοιπόν από σήμερα. Τρίμηνη σύμβαση για τετράωρο, 250 ευρώ το μήνα. Λίγο πιο δυνατά το volume και πάμε...
