Senking ‎– Pong

“Pong” as a title, gives us the impression that we will be dealing with some happy bleepy idm stuff. There is a classic arcade game with the same name. But no. This album comes with a deep bass on a slow dupstep mode. But that’s not quite right also. It is dark and quite ambient. Pong has also keys in chords and in some tracks we are definitely listening to doom jazz.

Senking’s Pong has a certain tone that penetrates the whole album. Yet, the focus seems to shift from track to track, sometimes on the bass and rhythm and other times on chords and ambience. The album has a downtempo mood and is more “digestible” as background music. Having said that, it’s still possible that Senking will get you on a dub move.

Μ’ αρέσει να σ’ ακούω. Είναι ο τρόπος που χειρίζεσαι το λόγο. Δε φτάνει ο χρόνος για να σε απολαύσω. Οι παύσεις και οι εμφάσεις που στολίζουν κάθε σου πρόταση είναι μοναδικές. Η χροιά και ο τόνος σου φανερώνει μια έστω τυπική εκπαίδευση πάνω στον διάλογο. Σε ακούω ήσυχος, ήρεμος μάταια προσπαθώντας να αρθρώσω μια φράση που να αρμόζει στην πολυπλοκότητα του ειρμού σου. Κρίμα όμως, γιατί λες βλακείες… επιπέδου. Μακάρι να είχα την ίδια υπομονή κάθε μέρα. Δε ξέρω αν φταις εσύ αλλά σήμερα είμαι σαν ποταμάκι. Στο βυθό μου περνάνε όμως ρεύματα δυνατά που βουίζουν σαν να τρέμει η γη. Αύριο ίσως και να ξεχειλίσω. Το λες;;
