Access To Arasaka - Oppidan

Tympanik Audio, 2009
November 13, 2013

Access to Arasaka (hereinafter AtA) is the main subject on this post and "Oppidan"just... justifies it. If you happen to be the only one on the boat when the flow changes the important thing is to steer your own way. Slow-tempo, dubstly bass, beautiful melodies and atmospheres, strange mechanics with fast-paced industrial cuts doesn't do the trick all the time. But they do (for us) AtA and AtA has formed something unique, designed carefully and delivered strong.

As mentioned above, groove is almost inexistent and slow in "Oppidan", but the intermediate space produced is filled with complex bleeps and sticks that constantly challenge steadiness. The melodies often have it difficult to accompany the hardware sounds but sometimes these melodies become the beast that the mechanics are enrolled to tame. Notice here that we are dealing with a rather melodic piece of work. It's an album deserving to be listened carefully as carefully it was produced.

Πως φαντάζει ένα συνειδητό μέσα στη ροή της κίνησης απίστευτου όγκου δεδομένων; Παρατηρητής και επιβάτης σε μια βάρκα που παρασύρεται από το ορμητικό ρεύμα; Άραγε ποια βία νιώθει σε κάθε συμβολή με τους αμέτρητους ποταμούς που ξεχύνονται παντού γύρω του; Και αν τα δεδομένα γίνονται πληροφορία ; Και αν η πληροφορία γίνεται γνώση και η γνώση συνείδηση; Και αν όλα αυτά είναι μηχανή, πως θα είναι το ταξίδι;

You are supposed to halt on "medway", "monoscan", "ruin", "caeropore", "recon", "sylvan-hesh" and "waiting war". Thank you.
