Metropolis - Guardian Of The Heartmachine EP
+ 214 - Drift Diving EP

Other Heights, 2012 + Harbour City Sorrow, 2011
December 16, 2013

Two electro- techno EPs that will satisfy the paranoiawkward listener/dancer to the fullest. "Metropolis" aka Nick Lapien, inspired from Fritz Lang's film, delivers the dancier and housier sound of the two. Lapien's beat is enriched with drum fills and other patterns, his melodies are strong and aggressive, yet optimistic, influenced deeply from 90s electro.

"214", on this small but great EP, is more demanding. It's addressed to a darker audience with a wider concept of dancing. With complex blips surrounding the steady hip hop rhythm, 214 unfold imposing abstract bass lines and predatory moods.

Both EPs contribute to the area of electro - techno we prefer and impress us specifically with "Ultrawelt", "The Heartmachine", "The Thin Man", "Drift Diving" and "Sidestepping". Well only two didn't fit. Ok.
