Haujobb ‎– Solutions For A Small Planet

Offbeat, 1996
Nov 03, 2014

Haujobb is an industrial-dance duo releasing albums for over a decade now. “Solutions for a small planet” is their third release that is dated back to 1996. It’s an album that established their more idmish and upbeat approach on industrial-dance and EBM music.

Their sound varies from their standard of power electronics to complex idm rhythms and ambient moments. Their abstract lyrics, that accompany most of the albums tracks, derive from the new technologies, the net and the resulting social relationships.

«Overflow in non-technical sense, approved for audience; filtration of useless frequencies, the world exist in pieces; there is no matter of time, a stream as fast as light, distorted data file receive and believe… to high drive, senses cry, access denied, eternal night… void.
Only fragments of a global view caught in feedback loops, takes too much memory need more energy… to high drive, senses cry, access denied, eternal night… void.
Multiple overdrive, a thousand times per second; switch to another mode, the system in defence… to high drive, senses cry, access denied, eternal night… void.» από Anti/Matter

The outcome is engaging; a great moment for the electronic scene, only suffering from a few genre-focused tiring occurrences and a feel of being dated. You could focus on "Anti/Matter", "Rising Sun", "Journey Ahead", "Distance", "Nature’s Interface", "Sub Unit Two", "The Cage Complex" and "Net Culture".
