"the sound of love impermanent" is predominantly an ambient album. Defying minimal and covering modern classical and "idm" aspects becomes lively enough to slightly bend the field of electronica.
It bursts in melancholic yet tender emotions. Strong melodies come and go and complete compositions unfold with the guitar on the front.
The voices make a pleasing match with each track they accompany. Except for 2 or 3 tracks of the album, the rest of them are highly recommended to be heard in sequence and
Ένα μυρμήγκι που έχει βγει μακριά από την φωλιά του με το βάρος της αναζήτησης τροφής για τη συντροφιά του χάνεται στις χαραμάδες και τις σανίδες από τα πατώματα και τις ντουλάπες. Λίγο πιο πέρα μακριές μάζες από κρέας κοπανάνε σε διάφορα σημεία την επιφάνεια που το ίδιο διαβαίνει. Τρομοκρατείται αλλά συνεχίζει το απαραίτητο για αυτό καθήκον. Τα τυχερά του φαίνεται να τελειώνουν με τις ανθρώπινες μάζες να το πλησιάζουν πλέον απειλητικά. Όταν ένα όμοιο του που κάποιες φορές είχαν κουρνιάσει κοντά την ώρα του ύπνου, του φώναξε από μία χαραμάδα. «δε πειράζει.. δε πειράζει, πάμε μαζί τώρα. Να μοιραστούμε τον φόβο.. τουλάχιστον.»
Ginormous (aka Bryan Konietzko) is also an animation director and has co-created "Avatar: The Last Airbender". So it would be quite justifiable for someone to detect a mainstream touch on this release. Maybe there is. But in defense of the artist is highly recommended to check the "The Endless Procession / Our Ancestors' Intense Love Affair"double album (and listen it here and here), so one can have a better picture.
On this album tracks like "North, Part 1", "If The Sky Had Stitch Marks","Hollow Ashes" and "A Darkness By Day" got it strong and they don't let it go.
